Statement:

I am a designer because I love to create and build.  I have a simplistic style in which I incorporate clean, creative lines.  My goal is to create objects that will spark inspiration and imagination within the audience, whether that is someone in a gallery looking at a rendering or someone living in my concept.

I am very interested in innovation and resourcefulness in the 21st century.  Using the medium of a computer screen and the mouse as my tool, I design and build within the virtual world.  I love to base my designs on the natural surroundings and history of its location but give it my own modernistic revamp.  I make many decisions within my work by how I feel and what I learn during research.

I have always been interested in structural design.  Since I have started my undergraduate degree my mind has changed many times.  I started in engineering, to graphic design, to animation, to industrial design.  I have sort of come full circle but to more creative design rather than technical.  I have found that I want to create real life objects with purpose and visual interests.  I am exploring new ways of design by using the technologies this century has to offer.  I know that my attention to detail and strong sense of design will be the future of this industry.

Interests

Just a short bit about myself. I am from a very small town in upstate NY, Sodus. Luckily, my house is just 15 minutes from famous Sodus Point Bay and also just 15 minutes from a ski resort, two places I love to visit.

Currently, I am a junior at Clarkson University. I am studing Digital Art & Science. Hopefully, one day I will become a great designer. I have been looking into Grad School and also many places I would like to work. As far as Grad School goes, my top choice is Rochester Institute of Technology.

Other than my studies, I am an avid skier, broomball player, recreational soccer player and swimmer. I am very active and love to let sports and activities fill my spare time. Also, I enjoy listening to music of all genres, knitting and watching films.
